R Type Oval and Octagonal API RTJ Gaskets

The type R metal ring joint gaskets are manufactured according to ASME B16.20 and API 6A. The type R oval configuration was the original design and was followed by the type R octagonal which offered more specific contact areas

The type RX metal ring joint gaskets are manufactured according to ASME B16.20 and API 6A. The type RX RTJ gasket series is of higher strength materials designed primarily for well-head pressures of 700 bar and beyond.

Type BX Ring Gasket

The BX metal ring joint gaskets are manufactured according to ASME B16.20 and API 6A. The type BX RTJ gasket series is of higher strength materials designed primarily for special applications involving high pressures up to 20,000 psi.

SBX and SRX RTJ Gaskets

Type SRX and SBX RTJ gaskets are the same design as the Type RX and BX gaskets. They are manufactured to API 17D and apply for Subsea Wellhead and Tree Equipment. The S indicates these gaskets have cross-drilled holes to assure that any liquid trapped behind the ring gasket on either side will flow to the I.D. bore. SRX Ring Gaskets usually be designed in 6BX and/or 17D RTJ flanges under water.

SBX rings are the same design as BX O-rings, however the «S» suffix indicates the presence of additional pressure equalization ports to prevent pressure lock-out when used on subsea wellhead equipment.

SBX ring connections are used on subsea assembly with API 6BX, API 17SS and API 17SV flanges. They are used to seal assemblies at pressures up to 5000 PSI in accordance with API 17D for 17SS flanges and up to 10000 PSI in accordance with API 17D for 17SV flanges, and are also manufactured in accordance with GOST R ISO 13628-4-2016.

IX Seal Ring gaskets – The IX-rings are designed and used where the NORSOK CFC (Compact Flange Connections) are in use. The rings come in three different kinds of steel and are coated with PTFE in varying colors in order to distinguish between them. Standard identification NORSOK STANDARD L-005 (NCF5). All markings should be on the inside of the ring.

API 6A and 17B Gaskets (ISO 10423 Gaskets) are made from the following materials:

Low Carbon Steel (S), 4-6 Chrome (F-5), 304 Stainless Steel (S304), 316 SS Stainless Steel (S316), 347 Stainless Steel (S347), 410 Stainless Steel (S410), Copper, Inconel 600, Incoloy 825, Monel 400, Titanium, Nickel 200, Hastelloy B2, Hastelloy C276.
